I like receiving the emails almost as much as sending them! All good banter and motivation. Definately one of bkool's plus points.

Monte what brand of turbo tyre was it that warped? Sounds like it's worth avoiding

Michelin Lithion 2 - use them as a winter tyre

Despite my moaning about not making any gains recently I have managed to hit one target I set myself.

1 stone lost since I got on the bike.
Another .5 to go and I will be very happy - think this might be a bit harder though.
Excellent news well done although would have been even quicker on the last chain gang with a bit more pork.

Well done, It came off in waves with me, started at 15 stone, got to 14 fairly quickly, stuck there for a few months, then it dropped to 13.5, again stuck for months then from there it was steady until 12.5 stone, which is where I have been for the last year and a bit, but I don't want to lose any more as at 6'3" it is slap bang in the middle of the nhs ideal weight.

Right - goals readjusted.
I'm going for 12.5 then. Started at 15 as well - now 14.
This time next year.

EDIT - on hindsight this might be a bit ambitious.

I'm pretty similar to you mate. Started cycling was 15.9 I'm now 14.6!
Would like about 13[ish). First stone was quite quick this second one is a bit more intense to get off! Loving it though! Keep at it mate it will come.

I swapped to a turbo specific tyre as using a standard road tyre on a chaingang course, similar to last Thursday course (fast rolling) and the tyre must of got so hot it warped the tyre out of shape.

Small confession I swapped chain rings for Thursday's course, fitted a standard set up 53/39.

Monte,
I haven't ridden the course yet but looking at the profile suggests you made a very sensible decision.
