Just watched the videos - thanks Geoff (your computer really didn't like me or Bill did it?!)

I have to say, great teamwork from the Not Red team - very impressive. Also, I didn't realise quite how close me and LBHIFI were to the three remaining Not Red riders at the end there. Not that I could have given it any more if I had!

Excellent race again @gbrown - thanks a lot

Cheers bridgy, it looks like you put in a massive effort too

And definately a big thanks to Geoff. Looking back at how close it was at the end I think it's hard to deny that the team radio 'probably' won it for us . I can't emphasise enough how useful it was being able to tell each other to ease off, push on, sit on the wheel etc. Or just share info or crack a joke. The team work thing takes getting used to.

Team green are far too refined for this headset stuff we are going to write each other letters whilst cycling and post them to each other. If it is really urgent we will give the message to our butler's or perhaps one of the footmen and get them to scamper off to pass it on to fellow team mates.

Thanks for the attempt but anything above 4% and over 1/2 mile long and I go backwards :cursing:. I need to lose alot of weight to get anywhere near most on here without gaming the system :mrpig:.

@JLaw and @Soarerv8 Thanks for the tow , didn't quite beat 50 minutes. However you gave me help in taking about 3 minutes off my best xx(.

Now rest and recovery .

There seems to be a reasonable amount of interest in voice chat. It's on my server at the moment and I think I'll keep it there for a bit while I gauge usage so I can size up the hosted one. We used a product called TeamSpeak3, you can download the client from http://www.teamspeak.com/downloads

I'll post the connections details tomorrow when the server is up and running.
Interesting - I had assumed you'd used the built in chat function in Bsim which allows you to talk with nearby riders if you have the box ticked in settings. I have tried this once with Monte and although it did work, it was quite faint and I found I had to shout above the sound of the trainer etc - which ultimately lead to complaints from the rest of my family! So I assume the separate software you used was much better than the built in function?

I did wonder at the time I used the Bsim chat function whether headphones would have helped - did you use headphones/headsets or just shout into the microphone/speakers on your computers?

We all got headsets bridgy.

Kipster 'found' one at work. Adam and andy found them in their spares drawer and I payed well over the odds for one. It's lovely but far more than I need.

They worked very well on the whole. I'm not sure how loud I came across to the others but my other half could hear me 2 floors up. I may have to work on that.

Despite the fact I didn't match my best time on this one, I enjoyed it a lot more.

My weight difference meant I had to put the brakes on during the downhill section, whereas previously I would have been flat out.

A different story on the uphills bits when I appreciated a tow.

I think team White have a more 'varied' skill level than the other teams, hence why we find it harder to stick together.

Great fun though - long may it continue.
