excuse my ignorance mate but I'm (a bit IT dumb) and on a PC, I'm assuming this doesn't have a mic, do I need a wifi headset then as I'm not sure if it has Bluetooth?

I used a Jabra Bluetooth headset(those that hang over one ear) costing less than £20.
Just follow the instructions carefully and you will get there

I see there is an iOS download on there aswell, does that mean you could use through an iPhone with their earphone/mic?
Wired or Bluetooth? It cant harm to try if either, but wires might get in the way
They should work, I think Adam used something similar. .
You could although Adam said the reviews on the app slated it.

I've just had a chat with Kipster with a pair of Bluetooth in-ear headphones, with a mike in them, and they worked fine.
Kipster's instructions were spot on and if an old fa*t like me can get it set up, there's no excuse.

forget headsets and all.wow there I go awol for one night and we ve gone very technical here! @kipster have you got an idiot guide as to what we are doing here to get this chat thing going, if I still cant get it I'm afraid I might have to get my 8 year old daughter involved to set it up for me

Yep,I just used a Jabra Bluetooth sports headphones, and they worked a treat. It is possible to use your tablet or iPhone to connect to Teamspeak but the reviews did suggest a lot of connection issues and dropouts. But try it, and give us feedback, might be a useful route of access for some folks.
