Did I hear mumurings of a handicap event this evening? I might see if I can hop in, as it's at 8pm. Work has been just relentless of late, which is good, but not conducive to anything approaching a social life or any good for my cycling. I've got a big endurance event coming up in a few weeks, and I haven't swum or cycled in ages.
The firmware update sounds a bit scary, so I've polished my green hat in preparation for handing it back.
I too may see what my mountain honed legs are capable of this evening if there is an event on.

just checked my Bsim,, I have the new software version 2.65 and Bkool trainer listed as 3.02 not the new 3.1.

How can you make it update the trainer?

Do you mean software version 2.62? mine is 2.62.....

I don't know if you can force it to do a Firmware update - mine just popped up on screen when I turned it on?

Hey guys

Had this trainer from 2014 and it's done wonders for me but what is the biggest hardest climb in the sim nowadays? I'm still periodically doing the col du mollard croix fer which is about 1.2 miles of total climbing is there anything bigger yet that has video or 3D?

Erg mode looks really interesting for training.

It is Andy.
Lots of training regimes you can use in Zwift or hopefully Trainer road, even in combination with sufferfest videos. I imagine bkool will want to offer erg based training too. Its just easier to train to power. I rode 10 mins at 245w yesterday and no sawtoothing ^_^ mixed up with 10 sec intervals at 895watts:ohmy:, setting pb's on the course. Big grin on my face afterwards.
Nothing, of course, beats riding together socially in the virtual world that is bkool:okay:. But I like to have a training plan and to keep to it and for me great to now have this option.

We greenies would prefer to see it as a promotion. Feel free to complete the application form.

Team not red are great guys but they dont slow down to admire the scenary. Team green, I would happily let you all draft me, only taking the occasional breather as I know oxygen is a valuable resource and I dont want to deprive those more worthy. Ok enough of the grovelling, I might just stick with team not red and continue to be humiliated.....

I could use Erg mode to help with my TT training. I need to be able to generate power with a higher cadence and sustain it. I am looking forward to setting up some sessions

Mine had an 2.65, just rechecked. Why is there all these different versions?
OK, looks like I just haven't been prompted to update to the new software 2.65 yet, despite having already updated the firmware a few days ago. Just opened Bsim on work computer and it's updating the software so I guess the same will happen when I next open it on the laptop - didn't prompt me when I opened it last night though!

Bridgy, if it presents you with a box saying what has changed can you look to see if it mentions bluetooth support. I am pretty sure mine did before disappearing but i cannot see any recognition of bluetooth in the software.

Yes it did mention Bluetooth - something like "smart Bluetooth" I think
