I have to develop 263W to go up from Amateur1 to 2. Even a lower weight doesn't help much when you can only currently put out about 200W. My output is going up, about as fast as my weight is going down, slowly, but it is painfulYour fitness level in Cycling isAmateur 5
To get to the next level, you need to do the following:
- Your last FTP value update was on 09/10/2015 21:37. You developed an average power of 261.34 W
I'm absolutely over the moon with how I'm doing, but.............
- Take a FTP test developing an average power over 276.32 W
- Complete an Indoor Cycling session of over 30 minutes developing an average power over 276.32 W
Is this really possible. I gave that last ride everything. Don't think It's possible to push harder to reach the next level.

When I'm back from my holidays, you're my target, my goal. ha ha.
I tried that then it got to steep and I could not change back down to the 39 front drive and nealy ended up comeing to a stand still ...Close, but what I actually did was to get as high a speed as possible at the bottom (about 50mph flat out in top) and hit the 10% upslope and still keep pedalling in top for as long as possible. It would be impossible in real life so I think the software is being tricked into lowering the resistance for a part of the slope. Anyone can do it though and it doesn't always work, but when it does you can make big gains. You can use up a lot of energy in the process though so best done near the end of a race where you can try and maintain the advantage. In this case Guy easily caught up and passed me so probably a pointless exercise as it reduced the steady power I could make towards the end of the race.

You sound like me ... I feel like a victim at the moment. I get challenged at least 3 times a day! I think people see the slowest and think, I'll challenge that dude, then beat me by 30 mins! JLaw challenging me makes sense .... he's a smidge faster than me so I probably work as a good pacemaker for him. But when someone is knocking 50% off my time it doesn't make much sense.
Maybe someone can fix it so that if someone challenges me they really get Ryan's ghost .... that will freak the egotists out LOL![]()

I am challenging the ride of the person who is one place above me in the league... and that happens to be you so I think you must be doing better than me!
On my last ride there was 24 seconds difference over an hour and 6 minutes so there's not a lot in it.
