Just a point of note. I may struggle with fitting in two chaingang runs each week as I'm now doing a circuits class with staff on Tuesday and started playing squash on Wednesday and I have to say its been a bit sore on me fitting everything in especially when I'm the wrong side of 40. :birthday::heat:

Might occasionally ask someone to step in and start the Saturday rerun or else start it and bail, if no one minds.

If you do well in them you will be fast-tracked into the mountain goats ^_^

Very well done to Ryan with his unbeatable combination of high power and light weight. Always worth challenging if only to see him disappear into the distance. Also well done to Irish Al for nabbing that 2nd place off me. I was hoping you would actually, considering the power you make up those mountains.
Also a special mention to Cyclick62 who is leading the Veteran 2 UK highest ascent on bkool. You and me better watch our backs Rick.

New league should be starting soon. I've looked out the rides, just need to get them into bkool.

Dec Chaingang League details

5 more stages of loveliness for you all.

Stage one: 29km - flat with a sharp kick for the last 3km.
Stage two: 10 mile Time Trial course - slightly rolling circuit rather than just a pure flat TT
Stage three: 31km - flat till 20km then drops, levels off then drops again over the last 10km
Stage four: 15km - no flats down, up then down and up again - favours the goats!
Stage five: The big one! 50km - bit different than the last one as it enters into a mild 5km descent near the start which should keep people closer together than the inital hills in the last one. Then rolling flats til the last 5 or so km goes upwards again (nothing steep though)

Scheduled to start tomorrow

Good selection of stages...

Thanks for another great League. But can you wait until my ride registers for Skenes Creek. I need to take a screen shot of one stage where I finished ahead of LBHIFI.

Thanks all for the support - Geoff and Bill are the original and best admins of course - I'm just a newbie at all this!

Thanks Rick .
I just do admin at a basic level to be honest. Geoff was the one who went the extra mile to provide the delux admin service with all the additions and analysis.
You're doing great with it though Rick and you wont be expected to provide the delux service at least until after the New Year :giggle:.

As always it's been tough but well worth it. :okay: thanks Bill - great job as usual.

Well pleased - I finished higher than I thought I ever could. I think you're right that cyclick62 will be hard to beat next time round.:bicycle:

Not quite sure where to post this, but I've just had a go with a free trial of Cycleops Virtual Trainer Software. Very polished interface I have to say and a slick experience too. Not as many videos or routes and hardly any races compared to Bkool but yet another rival worthy of consideration. Nice use of Google Earth for routes without videos. Give it a go, 14 day free trial and I would be interested to know what you think

Thanks Bill for the hills, I didn't do as well as I wanted. I should've completed all 6 but was tired this afternoon after a weekend away in Leeds and the 490 mile round trip drive. I had my eye on 6th place, but it would've been close and I needed a good time on the stage I didn't do, and eat too much over the weekend.

Well done to the podium finishers, and everyone else in the standings

471 calories per waffle /3000 calories per pound /2.2 pounds per Kg/ 1watt/kg per Bkool level.......oh never mind the math I'll find out through experimentation.

Sounds great Rick. Nicely mixed up. May mean some of us can keep up with Bill especially if Randy can fatten him up with a few too many waffles smothered in strawberries and cream^_^ How many waffles do you need to overturn an 8 min advantage?

Oh, and very well done Bill on an awesome performance to take the chaingang league so convincingly!

Thanks very much Bob. Whatever it was you ate before last nights race I agree to be fattened up on that ;)

When it comes to waffles I reckon 5 waffles would have been more than enough to overturn the 8 mins. One, five minutes before each chaingang race, with it re-appearing between 10 mins and 30 mins into the race. Job done!!
