Was really touched to get a message of support from ADD just after the start, decided I would really give it a burst of beans to make him proud. I then realised I was trying to impress a man who was most likely day on the toilet pretending to have an upset stomach and it all went a bit wrong from there on in. Sentiment was very much appreciated though.
The burst of beans (from both of us) was noteworthy...yours more so!

For some reason TurboTommy is missing from the Classifications!

PaulF's time is 2 minutes longer than it should be as he sat on the line to await his Start Time!

That ruined me!!!! Easier on a Saturday than after work on a Thursday but I have a funny feeling we won't see that again.

Well done Bert - a great ride to take over my crown.

I was looking for a bucket at the end of that one...

Pretty good actually. Not being a runner I actually felt not too bad during the first leg - resting since Tuesday paid off as I usually have pains in my feet and funny twinges. I was about halfway down a 60 strong field after the first leg - ran the 2 miles in just over 15 minutes.

Transition wasnt flawless getting the shoes changed but didnt take too long till I was underway on the bike. Was quite blowy and the first part was a headwind but just paced it best I could - experience on Bkool definitely helps to regulate how hard to push so I just keep spinning away and overtook over 10 bikes and no-one came past me (which was nice!). Was over 31 minutes for the bike but no-one was doing very quick times given the conditions.
On to the last run - my legs had left me, I was getting a stitch in the side and gasping for air. Getting off the bike and trying to run isnt a natural feeling!! No idea how slow I was on the last 2 miles but I had to walk on a couple of occasions, but even with that only one guy came past me so I must have really opened up a sizeable gap from the faster runner when on the bike!

Finished 17th out of 60 in a time of 1:05:16. :wahhey:

Great effort Rick - I bet you surprised a few running specialists on the cycling leg!

Thanks Adam, Rick and Bridgy for your encouragement. Unfortunately I couldn't hold off AAAC as I was a fair bit down on performance compared to Thursday.
AAAC I sensed that your new Classic Pro slingshot machine was very similar to the pro. Downhill speed seemed to be the same and drafting looked like it'd be possible if only I could make another 150 watts or so.
And Bob, there was nothing I could do to catch you.
