Right here is a proclamation in front of the assembled Cyclechat masses. Fatkins here has just weighed himself and at 97.5 kg is about 20kg too many. I am stopping eating bad stuff and starting eating good stuff and in about a year a will be incredibly miserable but slightly less crap. That ride at that pace hurt far too much.

If any off you see during a ride stopped eating virtual road kill please feel free to stop and tell me off.

Good for ! We'll be here to keep a close eye on your progress:okay:

BKOOL pro. Am I wrong in thinking the signal between computer and device is Bluetooth?... Imsa not very techno savvy... :shy:

Tommy the connetction is by ANT+ but as long as you are confirming the connection in BSim under Settings>Manual Device Pairing, then that fine. Normaly you should not need to do this if you set it to Automatic.

That was a toughie. I nearly got 1st handicap, needed about another mile or so, but I reckon Adski would of caught me and won overall. I was tailing off in power in the latter stages

Handicap is getting more accurate:smile:

A couple of results missing in action, particularly Roleur1. I grabbed your time from the classification screen (but don't know if you spent any time stationery on the start line).

GailB, you don't seem to be a member of the new Handicap Chase group, so you are not appearing in the league results. I got your time from your Home page!

Got 17 finishers, here are the elapsed times, though some of these include sitting on the start line (elsewhere I've dug out the moving times from your results)

Rod shows as having disappeared after 3.3 miles, and a few more that didn't really leave the start line.

@CXRAndy, I can't look at your full result as you must have your privacy set to private.

If you are OK with it, "Groups and Friends" allows us to check your moving time.

Cheers,

Geoff

Yeah that's what they seem to be saying. The irony is that in the rankings they're talking about, they do the complete opposite to this, and actually log just the ride time without warm up/down!

The Ranking they are refering tocan be found at BKool>Share>Ranking.
The statistics there include your whole time in motion including warm up and cool down.

I hit <NO> whilst pedalling flat out in top gear, and flew off the start like a firework. Got about 15 seconds on you right there. But you were pushing hard, you were in my position table for ages Tommy.

Cheers bud but you beasted that. I put a target on your back, you ripped it up and threw it back at me!

To be honest that course was a shock to the system. I didn't bother looking at it before the start. I honestly read it as called "pan flat alley". I was going up that hill thinking pan flat my fecking ar$e... Completely spent...

Unfortunately Richard hadn't mentioned I had to join the group first! Suppose he thought I would know what to do. First my membership expired then this, maybe I'll get the hang of all this some time!:wacko:

OK, this is the adjusted finishing results... (moving time plus start time)

No idea what happened to you, Alfie, as you finished way out of place. I think you missed your Start Time by some way.

Roleur1 also finished behind Bert on the road, probably due to missing your start time.

Congratulations to JLaw, CXRandy, Adam and Bert, you all win pretty swinging cuts in your Handicaps!

Apart from those 4 and Gail it was a pretty close field. Closer next time!

Gail, I'll adjust yours to give you a bit more of a head start for next time.

Well I can confirm I am no racer after that punishment! Wooden spoon

Thanks for organising this again @Geoff. :notworthy:

Geoff, I sat at the start time till 6 minutes 30 seconds had elapsed according to the timer on the top left of the screen, I assume that is the one I am supposed to use?

Cheers AAAC. i had it set to manual because I was a bit paranoid about the connection. I used an extension cable for the ant+ tonight. That along with the Ethernet cable seems to have improved things 100%. Thanks again for your help and patience. Really appreciate it.

Goldwolfie by the way at the start were you on a motorbike? You came past me after about a minute at 200 miles an hour and then the motor fell off

I knew I should have had that service done - it's a lot harder when you have to peddle.
It must have been a downhill section utilising my extra 9 kg weight advantage.
