Better to follow the instructions here Chain Gang Handicap Race and enter the session when the underway time hits your Start Time.

That way your elapsed time is correct (it doesn't include sitting on the start line for 6.5 minutes) and also, you can enter pedaling like a loony (Adam)!

Oh....sorry Geoff, my bad, i'm still new to this lark and thought i had got it right this time......Doh!!!

So next time i just need to put the password in and wait until the clock on the right shows MM:SS (for whatever my handicap is) before clicking on the NO button and pedal like mad and it will magically put me on the line with a good getaway speed.............i like it :-)

@Soarerv8 we must go to the same burger vans I'm very similar weight :mrpig::laugh:

I am 95kg + rider. I only have to look at food and it adds to my weight. I do have mobility issues which doesn't help keeping my weight down. But when I was riding longer distances the lowest I weighed was 90kg and I was quite slim for my frame. I prefer the extra weight as I like to lift weights to keep upper body strong and in shape

@gbrown, when I go through set up and get to the "hit no" stage I don't have time elapsed in the background all I have is the outline of the course, any ideas?
with that said I probably jumped the start as I had to wait until my clock said 20.04 so don't really need handicapping ^_^

Bert I've made this mistake myself.

Once you have the course on the screen you have to press the padlock icon in the middle of the screen rather than the 'details' option at the bottom I think. Past week I did the same as and found myself having to count to 60 in my head...

same as that mate, we obviously need better handicapps:cheers:

Geoff - I opened the ride from live with about 20 seconds to go and pressed 'no' bang on 9minutes elapsed. It took about 3 seconds to load and I started pedaling during that time...was sprinting hard in 53 x 11 when I appeared on the screen at 500w..... ride went ok under constant pressure from Bridgy (but not caught ...jeez you must have been trying though I know I was)......completed the ride in +3.05 on the classification....but then the dreaded pop up 'Bsim has stopped working' and crashed after about 1.5 minutes of the warm down..boom the rides gone again.

Just checked my setting and the trees and something else was set to high quality so I presume my laptop cant cope with that..turned them all down to dumb now.
well done guys. Thanks again geoff.

I guessed you had lost the session right at the end, luckily it did post a classification for you, so I could get a finish time.

Did you try restarting Bkool Indoor and logging in to see if it still had the session and uploaded it?

Sometimes it still has the session data and uploads it the next time you run it. It usually says in About bkool if it has any errors and any data not uploaded.

It looks from the video that Bert finished ahead of you (although it looked like you were closing in fast) but when I add the allocated Start Time to the classification time, it gives it to you by 2 seconds.

From examining the video it looks like Bert jumped the start by 5 seconds .... :gun: ;)

I have 4GB of RAM on my PC and I was getting some crashes.
BKool advised me that Windows takes up 2GB and BKool needs 2GB to run well on top of that.
I used to have YoTube music vidoes going in the background as well so I have done just as you have and tunred down the 'fidelity' on some of the graphics settings.
My crashes are very occasional and tend re-occur on specfic sessions often in the same place so I am not convinced about thier theory but none the less I am going to look for some bigger RAM cards to fit and perhaps a graphics card with dedicated memory.

To be honest I wasn't really paying much attention to who was ahead of me as my focus was on those behind me as usual in these handicaps - same as you by the sound of it! This time it was all about holding Kipster off as he was refusing to let me pull away from him!

Great race again - thanks @gbrown

Very noticeable how much improved are @bert1971 and @Goldwolfie, both gained around 8 minutes over their previous time on this session in the chain gang.

Well done, very impressive progress! :bravo::bravo:

Geoff

Cheers Geoff - I think it goes back to the first handicap chase you set up, when I was one of the really early starters, and the adrenaline of the 'chase' with the pack chasing me down.
I really want all out on that one and have carried that form through all the events since.
I've probably reached my peak on the 'flattish' courses, but would like to get below the magic 100 kg.as my first goal.
Thanks to @JLaw the Mountain Moose league is back up and running, so there's another challenge I need to take on as I have a problem with long hill climbs
So thanks to you guys, there is plenty to keep us all involved in and I have certainly benefitted - but it's been painful and a bucket is positioned close at hand in case I over do it.
