Another good ride guys. Bill & AAAC in a class of their own again. I dont understand how 4.5w/kg doesnt trump 3.6w/kg and how Rick opened a 38 second gap on me in the last third of the ride with 3.2w/kg against my 3.7w/kg. These are averages though so it would be interesting to break down each ride if I had the patience

......kin ell it wasnt like I wasnt trying...trying to hold the sick down for the last few minutes. Lemon and lime SIS go hydro is great when it first goes down....

I keep thinking every time I finish one of these that I am at my limit....not sure I am though. Rules 5 & 6 deffo apply....

Went straight out of this session into another one...legs feeling it now.

Nice one.

How about my 3.6w/kg against your 3.7w/kg on a mountain goat ride? ;)

There was a point where you shot past me at warp speed and then were 2 mins ahead. I think it is sometimes how bkool deals with loss of signal and a sudden return. You get the benefit of shooting through to where you should be but only other riders see it.

I do fee a bit aggrieved by this ride. Feeling a bit sorry for myself for what amounted to a restart and coming to more or less a full stop 3/4 times. I am sure these affected my time and with no drafting potential pride tells me I had another minute in me. Then again perhaps I simply try harder when faced with adversity. I know when I finished I was not at my limit as I have been so many times so I have a little more time in me. May have another crack tomor or Monday. Would be nice to get nearer 19-30. May have to square up to Bills ghost:smile:

Bill was knocking off the watts more than me on the descents as I had to pedal to keep up with him.
I could actualy see his avitars cadence drop me annoyed me a bit as I knew he was getting more of a rest than me..
He also appeared to get more out of the hill sling than me hence my average being higher than his

Bill.....hmmm...would be interesting.....are you thinking a square up or just do the same ride and compare. I blooming hate big climbs....

Would be pretty interesting Mark. Not much help from technique or experience so mostly just w/kg. Yes, if you're up for a square go one evening then I'm up for it . I'd expect us to be pretty similar and probably down to who's feeling best on the day. I'm definitely not as quick up the goat rides as I used to be but hopefully that's down to the bkool updates.
I'd suggest something like col-du-telegraphe which is about 45mins unless you prefer to use a current mtn goat league ride.

Don't think I deserve to beat you Roleur, :blush:but somehow that course suited me. I was slingshoting up the hills best I could and resting on as many descents as possible which in turn will have decreased my watts per kg.

@BILL S sorry if my dummy ride has messed everything up on the Goats League mate, looks like there are some really weird times on there now with some people having times of 3 hours odd for 2 rides adding up to 11.2miles? Looks like BKool have had a play with everyone's times and ballsed it all up

I can't see how it can be even in comparison with other riders to look at the numbers or results. What makes it of interest and exciting is riding in close quarters trying to beat the next rider.

Your best figures posted up in bkool are only valid for yourself to compare against previous attempts. Until Bkool does a software update and the parameters are changed and past results are pretty much null and void

I think you are flattering me there Rick. You have shown consistent strength every time I have been on here - quality rider. I need to stop carping about sling shotting and learn how to do it......
