Thankyou sooo much for the encouragement, it really plays to my showing off gene, and I mean that quite sincerely, thankyou. However, Gooner, you appeared to be under the misguided and delusional impression that I was holding something back? Come on Add, get under 50 mins? Where the £$%&*" did you want me to pull those 3 minutes from?......That was rhetorical by btw.
Well...I'm f*****d!

This race is fascinating to watch (turns out I am much better at watching cycling than doing cycling) Adam and Rick are averaging exactly the same power but Adam just getting away a bit, must be either where the power is used or weight?
Guess those 4kg less of Adams come in handy!

He's 6'3" and 80 kg and I'm 6'0" and 84kg.

You could buy a cheap back clincher wheel with the right gearing for it, the weight wouldn't matter

I've got an old rear wheel on the turbo / winter bike at the moment guy. I figured I'd just relegate old tyres onto it as they come off my good rear clincher.

I was more thinking about using a compact Or semi compact chainset might help me more?
