Anyone know how I can get "CycleChat Chain Gang" to come up under the group heading in the rankings? To help promote our team

I think it shows up for others but not your own.


Edit. Oh, I see what you mean it only shows up to members of the group.

Thanks Monte. Appreciate the encouragement mid-race - was like having a team radio!! Especially like it when you told me to 'drop him - he's messing with you'

Hard to believe the winner did it in 10 minutes less than Bill, yet less than a month ago I was going toe to toe with the same fella in a few sessions!!

Edit: he's just posted this on the Facebook page. Mystery solved (sort of)

Hey everyone,

Does anybody have/had a problem with their turbo unit playing up? ie the resistance jumping all over, the power not reading correctly and speed jumping all over.

HRM and cadence sensor are working fine so the dongle must be ok

Hi folks, I've just signed up to Bkool.

I got a Kickr a few weeks ago. Still getting to grips with it and am also using TrainerRoad.

I've clicked to join a few cyclechat groups that are on there but have no idea what I'm doing to be honest!

It looks like I'm in CycleChat BKool

But not CycleChat Bkool Team
or CycleChat Chain Gang

Not sure how often I'll be able to participate but it would be good if I could get setup, ready to go.

Any pointers appreciated!

Yeah thanks very much for all the encouragement and pointers Monte. I tried to stay on that guys wheel but found it hard to draft him under those conditions. I'm sure you sped me up a bit as I actually beat my yesterdays time which I definitely wasn't expecting.

You were pulling me in near the start there Rick. I got my number one spot for a few seconds before the quick guys came past and then you were right behind me and it looked like you'd be passing too.

As for the winner, I did think that he was just a bit too far ahead for it to be for real. Also, some of the watts/kg seemed to be well out in relation to the finishing positions, as we noticed in previous races.

Hi dave.

There's no active leagues with our groups at the minute as they all died down for the summer months but once the colder weather comes again we'll be back in full swing. For now you should enter the bkool Summer league which a handful of us are just starting out in. Details are a page or two back.

Any questions just ask away and we'll do our best to help.

Sounds dodgy to be honest. Power readings do jump about a bit but average out OK, but if you're experiencing the resistance fluctuating it sounds faulty to me. Never had that problem.

I tried the same but as you say, it just disappears. How did you do it Lars?

I have been trying to figure out this myself. I think that as basic rules, group names are not visible to yourself, while others only se your group name if they belong to a group that you also belong to.

Yes, take e.g. "olvin". I think he weighs roughly the same as you. Yet on the long -1,7% descend section he goes 20 km/h faster than you at the same power.
