Just the frustration of wanting to do the sessions well :stop: and knowing that doing so causes more harm than good :cursing: :banghead: :surrender:.

I will try, a zone 2 flat stage tomorrow, to keep the legs moving.

Hi, great race an particularly interesting for me.... The good news is that Bkool support has been digging on my lack of virtual speed support and they sent me today a beta version to try.... it works so I finally saw the blue numbers and reached 60 kmh in some downs
The bad news is that I have made exactly 5 seconds less than on the official run of this stage in the January League, despite pushing more watts :banghead:. And only 3 minutes better than the trial I did the day before yesterday when I was quite tired and didn't push. The data are interesting:

January league: Time 47:01 180W average 3.2W/Kg - No virtual speed
Tuesday solo trial: Time 49:54 169W avg. 3W/Kg - Nov virtual speed
Today handicap run:Time 46:54 198.3 avg 3.5 W/Kg - Virtual speed in beta

The main observation: I spent A LOT of time in blue numbers. From lack to excess... Some of the time was for faster speed, in downhills, but most of it was in flats and in uphills, even in 1-3% slopes. Actual wheel speed was much faster than bkools speed a significant amount of time (My garmin edge shows the broadcasted trainer's speed so I could compare). And in regular 4-6% climbs, where my vortex should not reach maximum resistance yet, virtual speed was rather slow.

So.... I don't know if I like it much. It will be OK if I can keep up with other riders in the races for fun, but I still think that it is unfair. And about today's handicap.... I don't think that I had any chance, needs revision :shy:
Interesting observations. Can you share the Beta, or do you have more details I can contact BKool with? Anything that might bring us more in line with the BKool trainers is worth a shot.

Sorry Rob, I was specifically told to not share the binary but I am sure that they would sent it to you too if you contact support, they are being very proactive and efficient with this issue. Just send a private to @Bkool on the matter, or if you want I can ask....

Not good! Kids and their germs xx(

Whorty, remember you can join the Warm Up as you are first off at 0:00.

I noticed on Thursday that Gail sat during the warmup without pedaling so I just wanted to make sure you were aware that you can pedal during the warm up to keep warm, but you should stop completely before it hits 0:00 and then go for it!

Hope everyone is ready for the 5pm re-run...

As a reminder, here are the starting instructions... Chain Gang Handicap Race

Remember, you are searching for handicap or chase and the password for the session will be chase

Don't forget to click on No when it asks if you want to join at the last rider position, though I plan to leave a rider sat just a few yards in just in case.

Click on the No only when the time underway counter reaches your Start Time.
Don't worry too much if you start a little late, the elapsed times and the handicaps will be added to give an official finishing order.
Also don't worry if you end up getting overtaken a lot, handicap times will be adjusted to even things out more in the future.

Don't forget to save your time at the end, I'd save as soon as you can and cool down in another session.

Whorty, hope you are going to join in the warm-up between 4:50 and 5pm (look for the live session as in the instructions and it should show "in warmup"). It may take a minute or so to appear, but I hope to start it as close to 4:50 as I can.

Everyone else, your start times are here... Chain Gang Handicap Race

Good Luck to everyone, hope you all enjoy it. I'll try and post a video later tonight.

To make it easy I'll post them here as well (not everyone will turn up, but the times are here just in case)

I might have to join the excuses club I'm afraid. Like a fool, I went for a 6 mile run with my son this morning and now have a really stiff/painful left leg

I am on tenterhooks. Noticed tyre pressure down to nearly 80psi yesterday:ohmy:. But valve or pump head not working properly and couldn't increase the psi so ordered some co2 cartridges for delivery today. They were due at 1pm now dpd say between 7 and 17-00:angry: I know, should have got a new floor pump but one I have is fairly new and should be replaced under warranty.

That sounds like the meteor hitting the derailleur excuse.
