I am keen to try a shorter handicap distance to tbh. It might not be as good, but we can choose our preference when we have tried both distances, would be my thoughts.

Could we make it Chaingang on Thursday and handicap on Saturday for example?

Saturday never seems as well attended as Thursday, I get the impression that family life and some outside riding take precedence. Evenings may be better, but hard to find a time between work, kids bed time and dinner.

Tuesday is bkool race day isn't it?

Is Monday a quiet evening? I have a club that meets in the pub one evening a month, and Monday is always well attended as very few people have anything arranged on a Monday.

I think it would be good to try this stage again one evening, as we get the handicaps closer, but then we need other sessions, and need to have ridden them before, so chain gang or moose stages are ideal.

Would it also be good to try some velodrome games? Perhaps they could be interleaved? I know the goat/moose climbs are always priorities as they are such good training.

It's really down to what will be popular enough to get the riders to show up...

Monday's are tricky for me, but hell, it will probably suit most other people. I'll just fit in what I can. I can always do extra Goat runs.

I'll just be happy if the handicap races continue and weekly or 5 weekly is all good for me. Also don't mind which day or time as I usually just fit other things around my turboing. Shorter would probably be a bit better and perhaps flatter too as this would get more drafting going so more tactical.

Geoff I don't think many of our group do that race any more. I may be tempted to pop in soon for an on/off session for a bit of fun, but I wouldn't necessarily count out Tuesdays

I was expecting slower time, but not less watts. I think I should have gained at least 10 watt on my Chain Gang ride, but instead I got 10 watt less. The net result of doing a session in time trial mode is more work, slower time and less avg. watt :B).

I'm not really sure what to do now . I just wanna compete fair and square but the system doesn't seem to allow that. Maybe the handicap races will be the standard by which I measure my fitness. While the watts are a bit on the low side, the speed is certainly more realistic (if I was on my TT bike). Geoff, I hope you got me a better handicap for next time, as I will continue to do the handicap races in time trial mode.
