i'm up for giving it a go - but on my last attempt to do it i think i just angered someone with my stupidity - will i recognise you by your kit ?:becool:
Unfortunately, due to a near fatal tickly cough, I have been unable to flex my creative mind and design a new garb for this event, so I will be modelling last weeks drab attire once again.
With regards the drafting, I'm no expert (at anything at all actually) but at least the risk of knocking each other off our bikes is significantly reduced on Bkool.
See how it goes hey? If one of us has more in the tank....go for it isn't it? No time for camaraderie in a handicap race is there?

And then Rob H does the whole thing at 23 kph to our 11's and 12's on his vortex.

I don't think I'll try and challenge that!
Ignore that  Im just in the process of gathering some figures for my complaint to BKool.

cool...my handicap for tonight has been shortened & I gain another 45 secs.....gonna have to be some sweat paid out by a couple of riders if they are gonna catch the mark B/roleur1 train tonight....no mercy...... not sure why LGHIFI is so close when his best ride is 6m faster then mine & Bridgy/Runar....well maybe if you are really hard....

I noticed that too - LBHIFI is actually starting ahead of me ! I assume Geoff's based the handicap times on the last ride done rather than the individual's fastest time, and LBHIFI was quite a bit slower than his best time when we did the course in the league.

Looking forward to it though (now that enough time's gone by for me to forget the torture I put myself through last time!), as long as my legs hold up OK after the damage I did to them by foolishly going running on Saturday! Walking down stairs is still a challenge!

Yeah was surprised to see I have to start along side LB - catch us if you can Bridgy!

Started training for a Duathlon Bridgy? Running was really hurting me when I first gave it a go. Felt sore everytime till I rested for the Duathlon and then actually felt pretty good on the day. Takes the body a while to adjust to the pounding by the looks of it.

I do quite fancy trying a duathlon at some point Rick (I think?!) but at the moment it's more because my 12 year old son likes to run and needs a training partner! He's a lot better at running than me though! I think you're right about time to adjust - I think I need to build it up more slowly. It's hard because I have the underlying fitness from the cycling which makes me feel I can do more than I probably should at this stage!

As for catching you guys - well I think it's more likely I'll be looking behind me!!

Special pleading! ;)

I think Lars has changed his riding style and trailed in last in the Saturday handicap. Hopefully he won't revert to his usual pace and leave you all in the dust... Is there a black flag in Bkool?
