I quite literally had my head down and pedaled. Didn't watch the screen much. The last 10k was agony, with lots of swearing The wife finds it so funny when I shout at myself .... things like "come you fat b@stard, keep those legs moving".

Having a nice warm up in the velodrome to get my cadence to speed sorted out bsim crashes 10 minutes in

Ok no worries. Just jump onto the chaingang where is it ..

Eventually on the CG with GW, Whorty and myself. Working a little autobus between us crash ..... full pc this time not bsim .

Ok wait for the system to reboot . Join in last place, thinking my session is shot, but I could help the other two to a time . Whorty disappears suddenly and reappears a minute or so back. I start to drop back but as I slow the gap does not get smaller .

Sorry Whorty but I decided to leave you to the bus wheels . I catch up with GW and we trundle along for a while at about 20 odd mph. Then you guessed it, bsim decides its had enough and boots me out again

That's me done for the leagues tonight. I do a longish cool down . An hour of lost bsim data tonight .

GW and Whorty sorry for not helping as much as I wanted .

No problem, it's a real pity you had so many problems - at least the starting tactic worked well. We could probably cut the start delay down to 5 seconds next time as the others didn't hang about, did they.

Enjoyed the company while it lasted and looking forward to another go.

Don't these guys test anything? Compulsory upgrade, then go into filter and as soon as you type h (in chain) into the filter it pops up the help screen instead. So now you can't filter on anything that contains an "h"!

After all the fun and confusion last night, does anyone know what the BSIM upgrade actually gave us.

As I'll be there for the Saturday rerun I'll gladly stay with the later starter's and help you along, @Runar are you doing Saturday as well we seem to be closely matched on this stage

I had been trying to ignore the upgrade for the last week or two, last night it refused to allow me to access BSim unless I did the upgrade. Bug fixes, user experience etc etc. Hopefully the Kickr is now on a par with the pro trainer, I will try it out in a few days or will ask JLaw

I hope to be there tomorrow if i can recover from yesterdays exertions. It didnt help that it got pretty hot in my loft yesterday even with fan on full blast.
It would be really good to get to the 30-35km point in a similar time to last night but as a group so we can push on and benefit from drafting together. Conversely, if I don't recover fully I am happy to drop back and help draft others. This is one where, at least until the last few km, we are all in it together

Same here Bob. Lofts can get horrendously hot in the summer as you'll no doubt find out. I had to get an air conditioner but not had to use it since October.
I'll also make the rerun and if I can't run at the front I'll be helping further back.

Bill, I missed you dropping of the back there as I was concentrating too much on the front of affairs and by the time I noticed you going backwards I felt that I might be risking the GC if I dropped back what with Bob and Lars doing so well.

I actually needed a bit of a rest at that point and think I'd managed my efforts all wrong up to that point including making a slingshot manoeuvre that I probably shouldn't have. I think I re-energized later but far too late and you drafters just constantly pulled away. Your willingness to help out a fellow rider in distress is appreciated though, and I'll make a note to myself for the future that if I'm not feeling quick, you won't mind me sitting behind you for a while and not pulling my weight as much as I should.
