Bill,
Looks like a cracking effort in the summer cup![]()
Funny, I don't remember that steep downhill bit towards the beginning of the real Cheddar Gorge!![]()
Yep. I was there. Got stuck for 90 mins with the problem at Ripley and got diverted past Leith hill so did 92 miles. Garmin did not save ride so pretty gutted about that.Did anyone complete the London Surrey ride today? Crashes/injuries curtailed the route I hear
Did Cheddar both ways on Friday, should have turned my BKool app on, might have done a really good time in the Mini!
That Stage 5 in the Summer Cup is a killer, that big climb takes it out of you before you attack the long undulating flat to the finish.
I had a stitch in my right side all the way from the top of the climb to the finish, it may have been that I took one gel to many, and it always worries me a bit when I get any pains in my upper body.
Got stuffed by A.I.D again!
I thought tonite was a big live run and I had a plan to start late and use all of the other contenders draft but there were only 4 or 5 other guys in the event and I didn't even catch one of them..
I avoided Bill's session so as not to put him out of his stride.
It could be you are in the ideal zone weight wise. Bkool has me @153w avg (stage weight 70lb). Dragging the 14 minutes out of the 2 hours on my garmin gives me 190 for the stage. My new power pedals gave me numbers so close to Bkool, that I think maybe Bkool picked up the power from the pedals. The 5 watt more by the pedals could be because I started my Garmin a little late and therefore didn't record the relativly low power start.
Ok. You do know that mine is not the Vectors? It's these http://www.bepro-favero.com/en/products/.It could be you are in the ideal zone weight wise. Bkool has me @153w avg (stage weight 70lb). Dragging the 14 minutes out of the 2 hours on my garmin gives me 190 for the stage.
I've seen variation of power on bkool on different tyre sizes 700x23-25-28 as well. But I have not tested the vector on different tyres.
More oddities![]()
Welcome TRex,Hey guys, I've been lurking a bit, riding on highways until I can afford a power trainer. Can I ask how you guys all race? Are you doing 30 mile rides flat, generally? I just did a 4 hour, 50 mile ride up Lake Superior, Minnesota to Canada. It nearly killed me. Elevation about 1,200 feet.
12 hourssomeone who would be ideally suited to do a 12 hour spinning session for charity at short notice.....oh yes![]()
Thank you Boxers - and also thanks for the timely reminder to top up my supplies of chamois cream!
