It was a futile attempt though and one I regretted shortly afterwards. I noticed that Randy was only a couple of seconds off my tail at that point too. Good try Randy, but probably not the best way for either of us to get our quickest times. I looked at the power readout while trying to catch DP and it was probably reading higher than I'd seen before but DP was still pulling away.

My ride from yesterday turned up today and my ride from today's still missing. Think Bob's had a similar delay. Maybe they celebrated new year early in Spain this year.

Last day of excess Christmas and Travel today. Bike will be re-instated in the back room tomorrow and I am planning to complete the Chaingang.
Not sure that I will be a match for DP after 2 days of Champagne, Wine, Whiskey and eating out.
