Cheers
Took a more sensible approach today and took advantage of the V squared rule and saved my big efforts for the bits where you can lay down the watts.
I tried to expend all I had left in the last 1km by spinning up to big watts but only had enough left for a solid 500m and had to back of just to give it another go in the last 250.
It is amazing how much cycling downhill takes out or you!
It teaches you good pedal stroking though otherwise you a bouncing your bits to death.
There was a 'dead stop' in there somewhere which caught me out because I was taking a peak at the session table to remind myself what speed I had to average to best Jacob.
61.3 kph was the magic figure and as I crested the final climb I was at 61.9 so I knew I had cracked it.
Chapeau Sir

. The CG3 run I did monday has taken an awful lot out of my legs and I now can't get even close to my normal power
. I've just done CG4 and I could not even get myself going at a descent clip downhill
.

. I'm having trouble spinning at any cadence, let alone 85-95. I think I just over did it up the last 5 or 6 k of CG3 for me. I tried CG4 tonight a just about managed to finish
.
and 65 cadence. Every time I tried to to push 170 or more watts or more than 80 cadence my legs just went NOPE!
