Pity you can’t stay warmed up on the line without starting. I tried unplugging my turbo to disconnect it so I could warm up, but even when disconnected it transmits power.

Just disconnect in Rouvy, and you can continue warming up, and racking up miles on the headunit. :okay:

I don’t think I helped you gain 5 minutes tbh. Think you’d done most of the hard yards by the time I caught you up. I was certainly ready and happy to ease up a bit at the end with you there Randy, I was bloody cooked!

I was completely worn out. I was ready to coast in then you waited so I had to push. I’m paying the price now.
Thanks again.

I gained 5 minutes thanks to Adski

That was very well done anyway if Adski helped or not.

Whilst a standard handicap does motivate you to catch the next guy, the problem is that you invariably fly by as your speed is obviously faster, so mostly you are TTing alone. Happy to do again, but here is my suggestion for another option:
If the reality levels were correctly reduced to help us, slower riders, we could all put in our max effort, but be cycling together. I don't know how to get it right, and it will be different for each route, but I have tried to guess, as a start. Flat rides will probably be easier. If we were to use the first ride we did this season, Palm Beach, and guess at a reduction of 2%/minute behind, we get the following levels:
Previous TimeReality Level, %
Berty35:05:00100
Breedon40:45:0089
Craig41:32:0087
Brusgaard41:32:0087
Rod41:35:0087
Adski45:02:0080
Tommy45:04:0080
Juha46:10:0078
Randy59:59:0050

Any comments, or interest?

About yesterday's handicap ride. I just take a look Randy's spreadsheet and I have a question for all of you. Did you add your riding time+handicap time or just a riding time to spreadsheet?. I add my riding time+5min handicap. What is right way to do it?

I don't mind if we are using your suggestion but I don't mind if I keep using my current 100% reality level as well. Maybe we can try that and see how it goes. I feel that my physical shape is getting better and better but can't tell how long. Is that reality level setting similar with Zwift?, gives more gears to climbs but on flat it doesn't help much?.
