Quite. I'm amazed that I got to the bottom of page two before he got a mention. Three world cups and a scoring record streets ahead of the rest.
Frank Worthington he was some player .
I was 1 Year old in 1967, but I still consider that Celtic team as the 1st British team to conquer Europe.
And the last to be a truly representative, local team To win anything of significance.
I'd vote for them as my favourite team ever - although I have little knowledge of the individual players.
The fact that Pele played in great teams actually supports his claim to be the best – it’s harder to get into a team if everyone else in the squad is also brilliant. But that is what he did over four World Cups, winning three.I've always had a niggling doubt about Pele. Sure he was an all time great...but the best? He looked awesome in 1970, but then he had awesome teammates (for me the best ever team, in the best ever World Cup) But there was something, just that little something, about George Best.

Henrik Larsson the only World Class player ever to grace the Scottish game in my humble opinion![]()
