I've just ordered a bike box so that's me pretty much set for Wales. Now that I've run out of things to buy to occupy my brain, I might actually have to put some miles in on the bike!

Which box did you get Tommy? I'm thinking of getting 'Bikebox Alan'. Lots of garish colours to choose from![]()
Bingo!
I went for the black one though as it's slightly cheaper than the rest. Once I'd settled on a hard case everything pointed towards bikebox Alan. Hopefully it lasts a lifetime. I'm thinking I can cram my clothes into it as well so I'll only need a small back pack for travel stuff.
These will be the first things I pack ... even before I pack the bike!!! On the turbo for short rides I need pain killers 50% of the time for the back so there is no way I could ride all day without them. Just ibruprofen, nothing stronger, but it's the anti-inflamatory effects I need as much as anything else.I like the idea of taking some pain killers with you, I've not done that before but is a great tip.

Interesting, didn't know there was a link. I've tried pain creams before and they have irritated my skin so I've tended to avoid them, but might have another try.@Whorty just a thought regarding the ibuprofen i remember u saying u had a bad chest if i take ibuprofen in tablet form i get a bad chest (asthma) i seam to be ok with the cream.
It might not apply to u tho
That's really sad mate, was really looking forward to meeting you. Looks like however bad the DD is for me this year, I'll have to do it again next year nowBecause of some training I need, I am not going to make the DD this year. It is a huge disappointment. But I am doing it in 2018 come hell or high water.
Well it's obvious to me that you're more likely to complete the jobs well the more cycling miles you managed to complete. Get out on the road and enjoy.Finished my job today and on the bench for a few months. Time to get fit for the DDoh yeah, and complete the list of jobs HID has planned for me
