I was in a chip shop in North Berwick, they had a choice of fish haddock £7.60 cod £8.70 or lemon sole £10.20 all with chips.I went to Greggs instead

Standard fish & chips in the village chippy (cod or haddock) is £6 - £4.50 for the fish and £1.50 for the chips.

They're middling in quality, but they save me a 10 mile round trip into town and the portion does me for two days.

I usually cook my own fish and get a large bag of chips for £2 instead.
