Morning all :hello:

Friends stayed overnight after we'd been to the Cheddar autojumble.
Today, we shall all be walking into Watchet for Sunday lunch at the Star.

Good morning. Breezy, to say the least, and brightish from time to time. I promised to take #1SP out today. She wants to go to the play park. That's gonna be fun but I will not let her down....................even if freezes me half to death. Not much else on except film club tonight. I will away to do my stretches and weights shortly but first a little story. A slightly disturbing one.

A friend, W, got in touch saying her daughter, L, lives next door to a young chap, 28. called C. Any way L got in to conversation with C who mentioned his father lives in *****, this is our village. I know L through her mother, my PT and by seeing her in the gym. A genuine young woman. She said to C words to the effect " I know Mr and Mrs P" they live in the same village. C then says his father drives a blue Porsche and knows me and he does a lot around the village. He also knew all about my RTC with the tractor. This man has a Scottish surname, we don't know what it is. Mrs P and I are a little bemused.

We have been here 43 years. We are heavily involved in village life and yes we are well known around the village. This is true for all of us who have been here 40+ years - it's because we love and care for the place. Mrs P and I do not know anyone with a Scottish surname, who drives a blue Porsche and who "does a lot for the village." I can imagine everyone knows about the RTC, many, many people have asked about who I haven't told. All the rest of this little story??? Nope. Not true. We've warned our friend.
