Good morning all.
A bright start to the day weather-wise though showers are forecast for later this morning.
A normal Friday morning with bedding to wash/dry and my cleaner due to arrive at 10.00.
An unexpected visit to the Doctors later. A phone call yesterday to tell me my magnesium is still low.....this means more medication plus another blood test lrequired......oh joy of joys  .
Next is a trip to the tip with my old paper shredder.
To quote our Welsh friend "stay safe peeps"

Good morning all.
A bit a a lay in today, didn't wake up until 7.45am.
A sunny day in prospect, so a day of domestics and pottering around the garden with a bike ride chucked in for good measure this afternoon.
All of the menagerie have Been fed and watered, the two female cats have rushed out, and Harry has come in.

Morning

I'm up - normal sort of time but somehow my brain is working early

off to the LBS this morning and hope he has time to figure out what is wrong with my rear brake
basically it is so weak that even on dry dusty gravelly paths it won;t lock up
even if I push my weight forward

which is not right for disc brakes

last time he looked at it he cleaned tha disc and checked the pads - but the pads had loads of meat left on them
I am thinking maybe somehow I have got some oil or something (other lubricatnts are available before THAT starts!!) on the pads

anyway -i t needs fixing!

Morning.
Dry and partially sunny and a promised heat wave potentially for coming week for all.
Washing is on. Cats fed, tea made for wife, parcel delivered to next door as driver "helpfully" left it with us late last night it seems.
Coffee is brewing....

Ahhh….after the last 30 years of my so-called career were spent with US companies, I won’t be visiting until serious regime change there. The place is toxic 🙄. Several US pals (& one UK one who emigrated there) tear their hair out at the ludicrous thngs the orange one has done.

In happier news, some new chainsaw & reciprocating chain/saws arrive to enable more serious tidying before some fencing is done next week….& we came 4th out of 9 teams at the pub quiz, despite wiping out on the wipeout round: a fair bit result!

Those wipe out rounds can be a bugger...............we have a strict rule in our team...............100% certain or leave it blank

Good morning. Dry and sunny. I slept much better last night and feel like doing something for a change. A quick breakfast and then up to the allotment for the morning. This afternoon I have a PT appointment. My trainer will want to discuss why I've done bugger all this week. That's a positive understanding discussion not a telling off. Her concern is I should understand why I haven't exercised since Monday.

We must go to a pub quiz again some time

we have been to a few - very few - and enjoyed them

as long as we avoid the Valentine Day quiz at The Crown
after the "unfortunate events" when we took SWMBO's sister and her husband there for a birthday treat a few years ago
(sister-in-law's birthday is Valentines Day)

and the two girls turned out to know FAR too much about sexual positions and other such things!!!

we went back for a normal quiz there a couple of years later and the Quiz Master STILL remember us!!

I have risen!

Im late up as Mrs D and I have been watching 1923. Its good. I mean really good, and last night we binge watched the last 5 episodes of series 2 and didn't get our heads down until 0300hrs.

Helen Mirren was brilliant in it. One minute she's the 80 year old matriarch, the loving head of the family. The next shes shooting a bad dude in the face with a shotgun. Timothy Dalton slimy beyond belief as the chief bad guy.

If you like a thumping good story with sex and violence very liverally spattered throughout then I can thoroughly recommend it. Mo would like Brandon Sklenar ;)
