I love blueberries. One of the lower carb fruits. I had a steak for tea last night followed by Greek yoghurt and blueberries. Trying to cut the carbs a bit again.

Looks like another nice day here. The car could do with a run so I might go through to Comrie and walk there this morning.

Yep, same here. Waitrose, a shop I try to avoid at all costs but visit from time to buy their frozen fruit. The quality is way ahead of the rest and the blueberries are to die for. One of my breakfasts is blueberries, pineapple and yoghurt. Delicious.

I have a Loganberry and a Tayberry bush, but a house down our road has a blueberry bush, i think I'll try one, we have a fairly acid soil here.

Feel slightly better. The trajectory is upwards, although its slow.

Fallen behind with my OU studies thanks to this lergie so this afternoon im planning a few hours hesd in books.

This week being ill and then a funeral has worn me out. Can't wait to get away with Bruce in the camper at the end of the month for some badly needed R&R.

I have a Loganberry and a Tayberry bush, but a house down our road has a blueberry bush, i think I'll try one, we have a fairly acid soil here.

Fairly acid may not be suitable- PH4- 5.5 is what they like The previous tenant where i live had 3 blueberries in pots...i planted 2 of these in the ground as there are rhododendrons growing locally- they died in short order Bit of a faff digging and preparing a planting pocket but worth it for the fruit and the glorious autumn leaf colour they have.

Well, back to my normal twice nightly pee breaks but at 04.00 I fell into a deep sleep and didn't wake till 0800. So I missed SoTS, a pity as I look forward to that.
A truly lazy day is in store once I wake up.

Well - wife's aunt's funeral yesterday

I only met her a few times but she was a lovely person - one of those that you never forget - for the right reasons

also one of those things where that will probably be the end of the things that kept those 2 bits of the family together - the younger generations do not have much contact except via her
We might keep in touch with one person but everyone else from both sides will go their own way now

I saw in my own family
I only every knew one member of my Dad's family except for my actualy Grand parents - she was my Dad's aunt and was alwasy the person who got me a GREAT present for Christmas

never even knew any other - she lived with her sister and once we went round to exchange Christas cards and the like and the nice aunt was not in
The otehr one grabbed the cards and pretty much slammed the door in our faces!
families are weird!!

anyway - she had a good send off

but those things always make me think of my parents and set me off

A few years back I use to make my own pasta
had all the tools to do it, but it is very time-consuming for one person
