Afternoon folksi dont really do xmas but always cook myself a curry as i do like to eat well over the festive period. This year its prawn recipe from Madhur Jaffrey, ive just made the base sauce which has cumin/coriander/cinnamon/ginger/garlic/chillie/cardamom/tumeric/garam massalla/yoghurt/tomatoes, i'll let this rest for an hour or so and then remove the whole spices [ever chomped on a whole cardamon!] then add the prawns and let them marinate until i cook them later. I still have fresh mint in the garden so will make a cucumber/mint raita together with a indian salad and chutney

That sounds wonderful though you might be surprised I love biting into a whole cooked cardamom. One of my favourite spices.
