Bugger! Feck! Bollards!

½ mile, I got ½ mile up the road and the bottom bracket seized. 🤬 Can you believe it? First chance to ride for three weeks. First ride of 2026 and the BB seizes. Have I upset the gods.

On the plus side. You've got to love a good LBS. I've been a loyal customer for 30 years. Dropped the bike of at 9.40, WhatsApp arrives at 11.25 - "your bike is ready" Sorted

Food. I'm concerned by the food choices I'm reading today. Fish and gravy ?? Ye gods.

You have the gravy on the chips and the fish is on the other side of the plate

Sometimes you need a dam of chips to keep them separate
As is known decent gravy is quite thick so doesn;t flow round the dam easily and stays where it ws put

The same applies to curry sauce

A good steak pie with a delicious gravy for filling. Some English mustard. Yes. Chips are allowed. In fact are required. Other situations and food stuffs? No. Unequivocally No!!

No. The normal ones are from Greece and the gold ones are from Italy.

We are now getting both green and gold from America.

Must admit i read that wrong at first. What i read was...... ....
"The man next door has died, i will be moving back into the house on Tuesday".

Q. Was his death expected ? Sad in any event.

I heard from his widow that he died from a twisted bowel. He was about mid 80s I guess.
Moving back is in my own house, nothing to do with the neighbour.

Cooked “meatballs” with tempeh for dinner last night. Never cooked with tempeh before. Never heard of it until the kids were home at Christmas 😜
Surprisingly delicious.
Essentially this recipe, but I chopped things fine enough not to use the mixer part.
