Classified info, I'm afraid...:okay:

Classified, what were you advertising for . You do know that most people on this site can decode the innuendo for bicycle parts and spares after all these years?

Flight Radar, Land Rover forum, Flickr, Wikinews, Crucial Community, Jaguar Forum, Sony mobile forum...

We know Tanis' interests, what car he owns, the make of his mobile phone, all sorts of shizzle, simple because he uses the same username wherever he goes. I didn't delve deep, just a simple Google search, and I found out so much.

Fake and different DoB on each forum, different user name for each forum, different email address when registering on each forum...all so simple. I even split the sites I visit between different devices to my Mac addresses aren't cross referenceable.

If I were a criminal, a business targeting customers, or a police/government investigator, Tanis couldn't have made it much easier to help me.

Anyway, to continue my musings.

IP address is a little more difficult, but not that difficult, to obscure. That said, as I'm not into illegal activity I don't bother worrying as its beyond the ability of the run of the mill stalker to do much with it, unless they work for my internet provider.

However, were I a villain it would be painfully easy to conceal, which makes it all the more surprising that so many villains don't do so. Amateurs, I guess.

You mean like using the neighbours WiFi, without telling them.

Who would do a thing like that! ;)

As aforementioned, the best defence is my fortunate sharing of a name with an extremely famous person. So famous that when in America folk either don't believe me, or think I'm extracting the urine.
