Here for rides.
Worst weather of the winter so far tonight. Southern Railway called it a night in our parts some while ago and lots of flooding on rail and road, plenty of trees down. Not a night to be out.

In a genius move I binned the bike & almost made it through under the trunk but my foot caught a fairly major branch & spun me round into another one. Result it 3 broken toes & a cracked rib. Managed to ride home very slowly.
Crikey.
Had to walk over Lambeth Bridge, Haydon's Bridge, some of Vauxhall to Stockwell, few crossroads... soaked. And cold.
That sounds like the journey from hell. Still, you're home now (or in a pub with wi-fi) so it's over for today.

Eek, a genuinely scary WTF...OUCH moment. The toes might heal quickly but those ho-ho-ho moments are going to hurt. Quick recovery.....

Nothing major here, usual wind, rain, misty darkness. No ice, not even very cold.
My cycling is not affected.

"Storm..." HAHAHAHAHAHA!
You guys think you have a storm? Coming up to 72 hours of either, rain, snow or a combination of the two... I hate winter.
Coming up to 51 YEARS (that I know of) of either wind, rain, cold, or a combination of all three. I love Scotland (for 2 weeks in summer).

Only a 'Hurricane Force 12' for Thames in the 05.20 Shipping Forecast today.

I don't listen to it every day or anything so probably miss loads of them at this time of year!

Been awake since about 5am, listening to the wind howling, and hearing more slates sliding off my roof. That's in addition to those already lost over the last 2 weeks of pretty much continual strong winds.
The wind here isn't due to peak until about midday, and then there is another battering on Friday to look forward to .
