Guys, Quite by chance I came across Max on his recumbent Trike pedalling through Peterborough yesterday. He was severely injured in an RTC with a Fire Engine on an emergency call whilst driving home from work one night. Instead of sinking into obscurity because of his injuries he is doing something about raising awareness of the disabled!

I had the privaledge of spending 45minutes escorting, Max (his rather fetching support rider Justine on her Airnimal Chameleon) through my patch and into Peterborough City Centre.
Please have a look at his route on the website and see if you can make it out to ride with him for a while!

And if you do, tell him the Viking Copper from Peterborough said "Hello"

Nowhere near my part of the country, unfortunately, but I wish him well.

Same here, nowhere near me but good luck to him! Wouldnt it be cool if a load of London cyclists came out to greet him for his final few miles!

We received a lot of rain this afternoon. I hope this chap found shelter as there is none between Peterborough and Huntingdon. Good on him for trying to do something challenging his irrepairably changed life.

Good call ......
I could possibly do part of the Cambridge-Bedford run with him tomorrow, Tuesday 24th.
It will only take me an hour or so to get to the start from home.
But the legs are still a bit knackered fron the Friday Night Ride to the Smoke.
So I dont think I'll do the whole distance ..........

Luck ............

You could do the Cambridge-Bedford section with him if only he were going to Cambridge.

Theres been a route change.
Starting from Grafham at 11, via St Neots to Gamlingay for 2.
Then on to Bedford.
Will probably do the first half Grafham-Gamlingay and then solo back to Grafham for a nice 40 mile round trip.

Luck .............
