Here in Scotland, " the premier league " is our league, not the English version

As has already been pointed out, it's actually the Scottish Premiership.

Here in Denmark I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention it, except whenever someone comes up with the idea of getting the top teams from all the really crap leagues around the North Sea together to form some sort of Scandi-Belgo-Scotch super-league.

This is a Ryanair one. Paris-Vatry airport which is 100 miles from Paris. In the UK its the same distance as Leicester to Heathrow. There doesn't seem to be a link between the airport and Paris either. Why do they do it? Seems that to keep flight prices down they look for airports with the lowest landing charges then rename them. Cheap flight / expensive transfer.
Exactly that. We flew with Ryanair to Disney once - landed at the same airport and then took the "shuttle" to Disney. The equivalent of landing at Oxford and getting the "shuttle" to London. Going back, we got the train to Reims IIRC (possibly epernay) and enjoyed a day exploring vineyards before going to the airport - which is at the gateway to the champagne region. I think the train plus taxi worked out as similar to the "shuttle".

I'll be flying home from Paris-Vatry next month. But to get to Gatwick I have to route through Porto or Marrakesh. So stopping off in Porto Airport (Ryanair didn't name it so close to the centre!)

Yes, Ryanair are notorious for using small airports because they are cheap.

In this case, while officially it is "Vatry International Airport", it is so small that the only airline using it is Ryanair, and even they only have 1-2 flights per day, and only to/from Marrakesh and Porto (as you have found).

But of course, that is part of the reason Ryanair are so cheap to fly with.

Ryanair and Brussels South. Actually near, in Ryanair distances, Charleroi. Just 70 odd kilometres south of Brussels.
