this ride is an absolute hoot - more fun than the veteran car race because the trucks and buses are usually full of passengers having a great time, and ever ready with smiles and waves. It's also a good deal warmer!

it'd be rude not to join in when the start is half a mile from my house, but a day pass is unlikely (and un-politic) 2 days after Southend - might have to bail around Horley and get back for park duty. Son no1 will most likely come and watch them set off too, he loves his big old trucks.

Meeting outside the pub on the SE corner at the junction of Anerley Hill/Westow Hill and Crystal Palace Parade/Church Road. Vehicles start between7:00 and 9:00, so we have to be looking for a 7:30-8:00 departure I think.

What sort of time do you reckon you'd be in the Norbury area?
