My parents wouldn't let me put posters up, they said that it was common. I did sneak a pic of Showaddywaddy up and it lasted nearly a couple of hours before Dad tore it down, he had a bit of a temper did Dad.
When I got a bedsit flat thing, aged 16, I had pictures up of Robert Smith (showjumper not the one from the Cure), Nick Skelton, Several polo players, Clint Eastwood, various other horse and dog type posters.
Mine was a bit more The Good, the Bad & the Ugly slanted.You have just reminded me.
I also had a Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry poster. You know the one. Pointing the gun. Go Ahead Punk, Make My Day.
I've never owned a poster :-(

what an awesome movie that wasThis one (oddly), and here's how I ended up with it on my wall: my dad was a policeman for many years and was called to deal with a problem at the local ABC cinema. After dealing with the trouble he was having a cuppa with the manager and noticed one of the staff taking down the advertising posters and putting them in the bin, so he cheekily asked if he could have one to take home for his son:
