just finished "life at the limit - triumph and tragedy in formula one" by Prof Sid Watkins. very good read, if a bit sad at times.

not sure what to start next - possibly the history of Poland book.

I'm reading Hyperion by Dan Simmons - having absorbed almost everything that Iain M Banks I asked the good people of Cycle Chat for more sci-fi recommendations and am cheerfully working my way through them.

The hyperion series is wonderful. It's been ages since I read them. My main memory is of a priest who keeps getting turned into jam every time his spaceship goes faster than light. Classic!

What makes it worse is that I'm using the Calibre library on this computer to keep track of the eBooks.

Ah, I much preferred the Endomyn (sp?) part of that series, well worth plodding through the first parts of the series! I thought the ending was very satisfying!
