I am what Sai King would term a Constant Reader, and I would not be in a great hurry to re-read The Running Man. The best thing I can think to say of it is that at least it's not Roadwork.

With the previous movies in the francise I found them a case of style over substance and this one is no different. Yep, i've never been a fan but my lad loves them and loved this one.
Overlong (they could cut 30 to 40 minutes from it easy) and a pretty repetitive story line. But I must admit, watching it in full Imax 3D was pretty impressive. 3D has come a long way from the old days of red and blue flimsy paper glasses.
4/10 for the movie, 10/10 for the visuals.

I actually used that line in the police! None of the youngsters, including the villain, got the reference. Very disappointing.

From 1986. Enjoyed it many many years ago so thought I'd give it a re-watch. Wasn't bad, just sort of didn't work, maybe "of its era" or maybe my tastes changed. Stopped watching after ½hr.
Some films from that era do seem to stand re-watching but for me not this one.

Watched the latest Knives out film on Friday night - our daughter at a sleepover, so was a rare night to do what we liked, and watch what we wanted.
Takeaway of sorts, and this film.
Loved the first one, disliked the 2nd one immensely, pleased to say this one was a return to form, just as good if not a bit better than the first one in my opinion, and that is even factoring in the lack of Ana De Armas.
Good cast I thought, slightly odd that 3 brits were all playing Americans, but even so, it was an excellent Christie-esque plot.
Highly recommended - it's long, but to us at least, it didn't feel long - always a good sign I think.
