The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Really rather good story of something that actually happened.
Yeah, I did notice it was on yesterday; but I was working, and by the time I got home, I just wanted some tunes & a glass of Red, to decompress.

In Bruges (2008)
Another of those films I was confident will be good, but had never watched. Was not disapointed. I can imagine how pleased people were when they announced Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell were making another film with Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin) because their first one (this one) is absolute gold. Its a very darkly comic tale of two hitmen sent to Bruges to lay low after a botched hit. The characters they meet and interact with during their time just add to the film, no one seems to be wasted or irrelevent to the plot. Ralph Fiennes plays their suitably unhinged boss who even through voice alone is fantastic.
9/10
Children of Men on Iplayer. Seems to have been very well reviewed at the time but I wasn't particularly keen. Possibly the script let it down, had some really clumsy exposition at times and some scenes were poorly done. The action was exciting at points but also somewhat unbelievable at others. Good to look at though and a decent soundtrack.
I remember seeing that in about 2009/10. I don't remember much in detail but I do remember that I was slightly underwhelmed. one of those films where the plot sounds very exciting but they could probably have done more with it
