i used to ride my bike to watch the planes at manchester airport and airshows in my youth. the bug has never really left me, although it saddens me to see aircraft i once remember as majestic modern aircraft, reduced to museum pieces.

I had control of a Chipmunk for a loop the loop, went round the block on a Seaking and went to Cornwall and back in a Nimrod. The Chipmunk was the most interesting,

Let's see

Boeing - 737, 757, 767, 747 and 777.
Airbus - 310, 320, 330, 340 and 380.
Others - BAe 146, Dash 7, Twin Otter, Beechcraft 1900D, Antonov An-24, BAC 1-11.

There's maybe a few I've forgotten. And one I'll always regret not having flown on.

you're not alone.

For her last visit to M/C we worked up at Pott Shrigley and had only a five minute walk for great views. You could see about 200yds on the day.
