A pair of 6913 bearings to replace the worn out ones on my Fulcrum front wheel.
Tapped the old 6913's out and pressed in the new ones.Axle wouldn't go in.
Measuring the old 6913's and the new ones the old ones had an extra mm on the internal diameter.Marked as 6913's but are actually 18307's.Another pair of bearings ordered !

I am expecting the delivery of an adjustable riser stem for the bike on my turbo trainer. I am leaning forwards too much and it is making long turbo sessions uncomfortable. A more upright position should reduce that problem.

The current bike setup was okay out on the road but I am having to stand every 4 or 5 minutes on the trainer.

I had a similar problem with a bike that I have done many long road rides on without issue. I put a couple of books under the front wheel which seems to have sorted it.

I did that and it helped a bit. Then I used a 25 cm high footstool and that helped a lot. The problem was that the front legs of the trainer were no longer touching the floor. I was also worried that the front wheel might slip off the footstool during vigorous intervals or sprints, and that would not be good!!!

Putting the front wheel back down on the floor and raising the handlebar instead should be a safe and effective solution. The stem is due to arrive shortly so I will soon find out!

Roholff hub oil. Went through the faff of the gear cable change 18 months ago so this is about as involved as bike maintenance gets for a few years.

I've just ordered some Shimano mt200 hydraulic brakes for my Spa Aubisque as part of its ongoing evolution.

From new in 2021 the bike was at the upper limit of size for me. I rode it with drops for four years before changing to flats which make the bike more comfortable. The next step is to change to hydraulics.

Bought a few bits recently:

- 10 Specialized Turbo tubes, which should do me for a while.
- A Campag bottom bracket removal tool for the Peugeot upthread
- An Ofmega crankset for the above. Had the chance for a Shimano 600 one but dithered.
- A pair of Shimano 600 brakes for the above. Only need the front, but a pair was cheaper than one on it's own.
- A "hardly used" Shimano wheelset for the Peugeot. They're far worse than described, but may do for a bit.
- A pair of Reynolds skewers
- A lightly used Prime carbon wheelset as I'm down to no spare rear carbon wheels.
- A SRAM Red 11 speed cassette
- A USB rear light. Very cheap delivered.
- A Zefal bottle cage. Probably for the Peugeot.
- A couple of Vittoria Rubino Pro's as they were on offer.

Nope. The FAG bottom bracket is being annoying.

Drive side came out with a Campag tool and some brute force.

Non-drive side has damaged threads so it's had an angle grinder on to make space. I'm in the process of drilling it out and then the bottom bracket area will be re-threaded.

Not exactly, ‘bought’, not exactly ‘for the bike’, and not exactly ‘today’, but I came across a lone pedal reflector while organising a drawer of reclaimed brake levers. Hoping it will fit a pair of Wellgo flats I bought a while ago that were one shy.

Just ordered new set of Shimano rim brake pads and set of cleats. Rear pads were completely shot, I had wheel out a couple weeks ago so must have missed how worn they were but totally gone. Cleats needed as left foot in particular getting pretty loose.
As an aside I've ordered from Wolf Cycles as by far cheapest on those items. Any reviews good or bad?

Had a £30 voucher for Halfrauds (compo for a complaint) so thought I may as well spend it on a 12 speed chain and an inner tube for the spares box.

Last few bits arrived from the USA today; for my 1 of 85 Units / Ltd Edition, Skyway BMX Cruiser F+F build. It’s a USA made frame; and Red / White / Blue colours often therefore get used in varying degrees on these bikes - and you can probably see where I’m headed with mine…..

Frame and Forks get released this coming Friday. Then along with bars and wheels: the lot will be posted to the UK. Not long now….😁
