Here you go!

Very unlike the smartphone I bought on eBay then! I waited in for it to arrive, expecting it to be in a small parcel, or at least wrapped in cardboard or many layers of bubblewrap. In fact it was sent by standard RM letter post in a thin jiffybag offering virtually no protection. I was next to the door when it came through the letterbox and caught it just before it landed on the stone floor which had shattered my dropped original phone...

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Sadly the pair of Dura-Ace shifters I bought about 10 days ago arrived with just an empty box; they had been stolen somewhere from despatch to delivery :cursing: (the seller refunded me without questions, but someone's got a pair of Dura-Ace shifters with green and white hoods).

However, I have bought another pair of tyres - making it three pairs so I've now got enough 'budget' tyres - plus a Dura-Ace FC-09 crankset very cheaply that'll go on something.

Edit: also picked up a single tyre and some bar tape.

Lidl have cycling gear in the middle isle again, so I've bought the little saddle pack that includes a multi tool, while on hol on iow without a bike!🤣

Thanks for that, I might try and grab that torque wrench to take over to my parents house.

This for £12.74 is also exceptional value - quality is not the best, but for a travel toolkit, or occasional use it's fine and covers the majority of jobs you will need to do, although there are some extras you would need to do.
Planet X used to sell these for around £25, and I still think that was decent value:

Once bought a set of unused HED wheels on ebay. Seller had literally cut open some plastic parcel sacks (about 1mm thick) and sellotaped them around the wheels. Fortunately it was obvious what they were and the courier had handled them with care so no damage. The worst part is that the seller was from an actual bike shop!

Thanks for the heads up, just popped out quickly to grab the torque wrench - they had several in stock, and seemingly everything else as well:

Not convinced if it will be allowed as carry on, but we take a case in October for the hold, so it can go in there.

I bought one the last time that they had them, and used it for the first time yesterday.

That recalls to mind the similar Aldi bike tool kit that appeared about 15 years ago. I bought three, sold 2 on Ebay at a £20 profit on each and kept the now "free", and then some, third for myself.
