Well, next week if I get a tail wind. Works fine on the stand, not changed the index for the other gears, so in theory, shouldn't ghost shift over bumpy root broken tarmac. Only the 15T (6th) would bounce off occasionally to the 13T.

Re did the rear tyre after it went down on the way home yesterday, hole was rim side so replaced rim tape and a new tube .

Do you take out the central pivot, clean and grease it ? If not, its well worth doing.

Cleaned the Ridley Fenix after a few filthy rides out. It's ready for a planned 200k audax on Sunday but, if it's cold and wet, I won't be riding that far.

The 0.8mm has done the job. Tail wind so into the huge 44x15 and it didn't drop into the 13 sprocket despite the roots under the tarmac path.

Not always, the main ones we use are two pairs of Felcos and one pair of Niwaki so they mostly just need the blades cleaning.

Replaced the knackered own brand mudguard on the Cube Attain with Kinesis Fend Off, achieved with much fiddling, swearing, dropping off small parts etc.
They look good and feel really solid though.

Headset regreased on the commuter - old fashioned ball bearing in a race type. Marine grease applied, I'll leave it another year.

Shifted the gear of the Ridley Crossbow from 40:21 to 42:19 by changing chainring and rear wheel and changed the front wheel, too.

Customer came in with a 24" wheeled kids bike and asked us how much it would cost to "make is so he can ride to school" Started checking:
Brake blocks worn down, cables stretched
Rear brake, boss screw on one side of V-Brakes missing, but as the boss was also missing, that wasn't so serious,
Real wheel loose
Rear-wheel bearings loose
Tyres more cracked than a mudhole in a drought.
Front mudguard rusted through
Chain had never seen oil, and worn down
Lights missing.
There may have been more, but I stopped there, as repairing that much would cost over 200€.
Next question:
"What if we do the minimum to make it safe?"
Told them that would cost at least 100€ with parts & labour.
They were disappointed, but at least not unpleasant about it.
