Vegetarian Indian Potato Pie, if it was good enough for Vernon then it's good enough for me. :hungry: :becool:

Plants are living things....
Hence fruitarianism - a commitment to eating only those things freely and harmlessly given up by plants. I met a fruitarian once. Nutty as a fruit cake but fit as a fiddle.

The Quorn ready meals taste awful very much the same as meaty ready meals so I don't like the path Quorn is taking recently.

I think it should stick to making alternatives to meat. But the ready meal market is huge so I can see their temptation.

Our food culture has grown up with a meat diet so meat alternatives mean you can still make lots of familiar recipes but vegetarian without much effort.

I first started eating Quorn as I'm totally useless at remembering to take things out in advance to defrost with Quorn it's not a problem & it's spiraled from there.

I'm not a veggie but these days if I can't afford the high quality fish/meat/dairy I like then I happily do without. As such I'm a vegetarian probably around 90% of the time & occasionally vegan.

Sadly the new range of vegan pieces is not as nice as the normal Quorn pieces in texture in my opinion.

Someone complained about having to cook special for a veggie guest why can't they cook meat when you visit. To be honest I'd rather not ask someone's not cooked meat for years/ever to cook it for me, I imagine there could be a slight risk of food poisoning by someone who's not used to preparing it.

At a dinner party I threw many years ago, there was one veggie among the guests. I made fish for everyone else and a veggie dish for her. Turned out one of the other guests didn't eat fish but the 'vegetarian' did, so they swapped plates.
Ah those pesky pescatarians. I don't see why more people don't just say they're pescatarian rather than claim to be vegetarian. Maybe it doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.

I use to call myself a carno-vegetarian, that is a vegetarian, but "I also eat meat"

don't get it.
If you're vegetarian then be a vegetarian rather than pretend to eat meat.

What I can't understand is how they're allowed to call it "Quorn Chicken pieces" and then in tiny print put "meat free"

Vegetarians a funny lot!
