If you dont like the price then dont buy the goods.
I never knew adults went in there I thought it was just for kids who dont realize what rubbish it is.

I will pass your virtual admonishments on to Lovely Wife who completed the financial transaction as our impromptu lunch was 'on her' - although 'on her' is somewhat of a misnomer as we are 100% financially conjoined. ^_^

Only 2 times I went it was to take my grandaughter. I managed to avoid getting one for myself although I did steal a few fries.....which were very nice.

In defence of the Golden Arched "restaurant" - the breakfast McMuffin things are quite good (both bacon/egg and sausage/egg) - but they seem to have shrunk over the years, and where do they get chickens to lay those mini eggs that fit on such a small roll? The coffee is quite good, but the hash browns are bin fodder.

The quarter pound cheeseburger with large fries and a banana milkshake has also been known to provide me with emergency rations on the odd occasion too. The fries are ok as long as they are hot and fresh out the fryer, but as with so many of these fast food places, they are usually luke warm, limp and taste of nothing. I could suffer that when they were £5; but if they want to charge £9 then they need to polish up their act.

Just for clarity it was:

2(Quarter Pounder with Cheese + Large Fries) = £9 and a bit

Is this mathematical statement correct btw?

Dunno when it became expensive, because its unsatisfying slop of little nutritional value that leaves you hungry ten minutes later and tastes worse than the packaging in which it is served.
Therefore I don't frequent the establishment .
This is exactly the way i feel about them. I may have been dragged in half a dozen times in the last 20 years or so.

It is what it is and has its place.
Don’t eat them regularly but I do like them and enjoy them when I do. The double sausage and egg McMuffin is heaven and I’m rather partial to a quarter with cheese and fries.

Have to say I prefer a Five Guys burger, but you pay for the difference in quality. Bacon cheeseburger, fries and a coke - £16. Delicious.

Sometimes I go in and have a mcflurry or vanilla milkshake , but actually eat their food? Not for years at a time, I have been sick on more than one occasion which is most of the times I've even been there... And my stomach takes punishment in abundance usually.. KFC - now your talking, or a big fat greasy kebab - oh yes.. I'd spend £9 on those.. Heck, I can manage a family box right now after eating 3 home cooked burgers

I should say though, it is rare we do have fast food/takeaway in our house.

Didn't take long for this to descend into food snobbery...

For the sake of balance, I had to go to the hell hole that is Silverlink Retail Park earlier. I recovered by wolfing 2 double cheeseburgers and 6 chicken nuggets before leaving.

Delicious.

I think there is weight watchers thread some where on CC.in my youth I always enjoyed a Wimpy followed by apple pie with cream Even better was the Pancake House in Leicester sadly long ago closed.

They're OK in an emergency but I rarely go in now. As @nickyboy says, the value meals are where it's at - it can get surprisingly pricey if you go a la carte.

I also can't stand the ordering screens and the scrum while 20 people all mill round the counter waiting for their number to be called in the McRaffle, even though they know what their prize will be.
