Has anyone had dealings with this company.

I ordered 2 CTC bags from them in mid January and they have still not done anything with my order. I have been in touch with them and they have said they will send it ASAp but still nothing has happened.

Happy to take your money straight away but action seems a bit slow.

That seems unusual. I've ordered lots of stuff from Wiggle, and have always found delivery to be really prompt.
Did they say whether it was out of stock?

WIGGLE UPDATE

I ordered 2 CTC bags from Wiggle on the 15th January and paid by Paypal.

I contacted them yesterday on their online chat line and spoke to a guy called Josh. He told me it was an oversight on their part and my bags would either be despatched yesterday or today at the latest.

I looked at my order today and nothing had happened and I contacted them today.

This time I got Grant. He told me these bags had been out of stock for quite a while and had been removed from the Wiggle site until they arrived in and the current orders are met. He had no idea when that would be. He had no explanation as to how I was allowed to order the bags, when they actually did not have any to sell. He also could not tell me how Josh intended to send me the bags either.

I have now cancelled the bags and will not be using this bunch of cowboys for anything else. If you have anything ordered with them I would check your order. They can make a lot of interest by keeping our money in account for a month without doing anything for it.

Are we beginning to witness the decline of Wiggle? Or is this just a 'to be expected' variation in customer experience of any big company?

It's a bit more complicated than that...
They can make a lot of interest by keeping our money in account for a month without doing anything for it.
The CTC bag costs, what, £15 a pop? Two of them cost £30. If they're lucky wiggle will be getting 0.5% a year interest on their bank accounts (in fact, they're more likely to be paying charges than getting interest). That's 0.04% a month - a grand total of 1.25p on your £30.

The electricity they used on the order probably cost more than that.

- maybe .. and they really are big business - they were sold in December for around £180 million. I haven't ordered anything from them for a long time as they are no longer competitive. Never had any problems in the past, though.

No, me neither. I've always had good service from them.

I ordered some 3/4 bibs today at 14:53 and got a dispatched note from them at 16:13.

And that is without paying for fast dispatch - never bother with it.

I buy from them on the thics I want where they are price competitive and shop around for other things.

All in all my experiences have always been good.

srw: I was not just referring to my small order. I assume they have a large customer base and it does add up. Had I not contacted them they would never have let me know.

I am just sounding off because they really should have had the decency to let me know at the time of ordering they did not have the bags. I usually order from Evans and have never had this problem before.

Thanks for that Jay. If you Pay by Paypal they take the money at the time of the order. I have just checked and they have refunded me.

Also I am 99% certain Wiggle don't charge until dispatch...[/quote]

Wiggle have never charged me before dispatch, infact i have a back order for an item and they have not taken any money for it. I have used them on numerous ocassions and have always had first class service from them.

Strange, I've used Wiggle quite a lot. I've always found them reliable and prompt. Thing I like is that the website tells you if somethings in stock before you buy it? Usually tells you stock numbers 1-10 and 10+
The one time I did have 'an issue was a few years ago. I wanted some 3/4 MTB trousers. I ordered an out of stock item with a note that said something like "stock expected in 2 weeks". It wasn't. Facing another 2 weeks minimum wait, I cancelled.
Now I just order instock items.
The freebies are nice too. Just got an Orca wetsuit, came with a freebie waterbottle:thumbsup:
