Does it take full fixed mudguards. Non negotiable for a winter bike surely

I will look into that as well. (edit the review suggests it can take mud guards)

I tried to bid for a Merida Cyclocross with full mud guards but the guy came back too late about delivery, it sold low but too far for pickup unfortunately.

ah true, hmmmm.

Yes I have, it's a little out of my price range and I would need to get it delivered, it's also a gorgeous bike, using it for a winter hack seemed wrong.
My current commuter cost around £1700...no reason why a well maintained quality bike shouldn’t be ridden in winter

haha that's more than my main bike!

Edit: I did pay less as it was last seasons colours mind you, but still it was RRP £1000

thanks @vickster

@Johnno260 here it is Ribble alloy road bike 56cm REDUCED £300 and i can even throw in a set of full guards ^_^

Damn you Biggs I can't get your Ribble out my head! haha, when you say throw in some guards, what would the extra cost be?

Also looking at the Ribble site, it's suggesting a 60 for me, which I'm inclined to not believe, my Merida is a 55 and totally fine, but has a curved top tube, I'm a tad over 6ft inner leg is 87cm.

I don't like frame sizes that feel like they will de-nad me if I stop at lights etc.
