18 miler this afternoon around Mendlesham and Cotton. As gbb said " Not cold, not warm " but at least it was dry and the wind coming from the WSW so feeling a bit better perhaps. The fettling yesterday with the new RD cable and indexing was spot on. What was`nt spot on though was white van man who passed me only to stop a little way in front of me as there was a parked delivery van on the other side of the road. OK, I stopped and to my horror his reversing lights came on and I had to quickly dismount to get out of his way ! I did speak to him and said that surely you knew I was there as you`d only passed me about 10 secs before. He`d forgotten and was too busy reversing so the other van could get through ! Honestly, you`d never seen anybody dismount as quickly in your life !! Ride continued and averaged 16mph and it just started to spit with rain just as I was approaching home. Win, win,
