I started stage 3 but got bored after about 30 mins (I'm not a fan of group workouts) so quit, but Zwift still credited me with the stage
Many cyclist are complain that their race is interrubted for some technical issues and they have been credited. All you have to do is start the stage from the pen and abandon that stage.

I find the NEO is rubbish on workouts (at least compared to my old Kickr). Resistance is all over the place and you can't get into a good rhythm. Even trying to hold say 165 watts was a nightmare - be 130 1 second, 210 the next, as the resistance through the trainer kept changing. The Kickr may be rubbish at climbs, but for workouts it was a dream - very easy to hold the required watts. I just turned off ERG yesterday!

The Neo has to be on the inner ring and mid cass to be effective in controlling the resistance. If you use the outer chainring, resistance and power swing wildly

Amazing, I know they are exactly what I should be doing on the turbo to get better but i'm the same, found it really dull and pootled on to the end of it - jealous I could've bailed out like you. I'm pretty sure you are getting in enough mileage anyway...
It's a pretty 'meh' jersey so I was happy not to be credited as I won't be riding in that jersey anyway, but ... still nice to get the credit

The route I like as training is the Jungle Loop .... a nice warmup into the route then its about 7 mins hard climbing through the jungle, followed by about 6 mins of relaxed descent. Do this loop 3 or 4 times and you get a really nice workout :okay: I prefer this now to workouts.

I think that's my problem - with the Kickr I could use the outer front ring (as I was yesterday) and all would be fine but on the Neo (as you say) power swings widely I'll try another workout at some stage on inner ring and see if that changes my mind. Thanks for the tip :okay:

It will sort it Carl. look at my graph from today, to see the Neo performs well as I described

Re the Kickr pan flat line was due to internal smoothing. When you use the Wahoo app to switch off smoothing the graph looks like the Neo or any PM without smooth profile

Your power graph looks very good, almost petfect unlike my drivo2 what behave bit nervous. Need to adjust smoothness setting a bit more and see if it helps.

I switched to doing this, on my Kickr18, after watching a GPLama video where he advised doing this for Erg mode workouts. I start small ring / mid cassette and then make single gear changes up/down as required to get the power at a good 85-100 cadence. Towards the end of some of the longer sessions I end up in gear 1 or 2 just to keep a semi sensible cadence for the power required. I'm getting more endurance but but the cadence starts to fail about 80 or 90 minutes in. Dropping from 85-100 slowly down to 70-80 dependent on power required.

In Erg mode the speed appears calculated not actual. In free rides the speeds reported by the kickr (sent to a edge1030) and Zwift are very similar. In Erg mode they may not be in the same velodrome.

Nothing to add except I really enjoy the challenge of using a high cadence to hold the power needed for each segment. I also enjoy sneaking a peak at other riders screens to see what watts they are putting out. Sometimes these little distractions help.

Spinning on Zwift in a bit. probably back onto the new roads and spin around for 90 mins or so. Mate here later and beer will be imbibed so I need to burn off the calories I'm due to consume
Finished my ride this morning on the new Out and Back course and then saw that you were just 10 seconds ahead of me.

Still down at Zone 2 and was feeling tired, so decided not to chase you. Decided to climb off and eat a chunk of Easter Egg instead!

Going to do stg 3 later. I've had an odd week of not feeling right and not doing my planned sessions when I wanted to get them done. So I've not got round to doing the ToW stg. Today is the day though. Last chance before having to make up a stage or stages

I was just finishing my ride too .... with a big blast sprint. Talking of the sprint ....... I know I won't hold it for long once there are races on that course, but for now I'm claiming the glory

If you're doing it, and not feeling it, just quit and you'll still get credited. Or turn off ERG (E key) and just spin at whatever pace you want for the 54 mins. You'll stay in the elastic band grouping and get an hour or so of zone 1/2 spinning :okay:

I thought you were probably going for the sprint as I saw you were putting out 6W/kg.

I was winding down at just over 2W/kg, so that killed any vague thought I had of chasing!
