Yeah, I’m quite sure that the food will be amazing. Jo and I went to India 17 years ago and had low-level shoots all the time we were out there, but the food was
awesome. 👌

I've had the same in India and Sri Lanka and for me it was caused by the malaria tablets you need to take for that part of the world (the malaria tabs in africa are different and never get dodgy tum).
Marakech is brilliant if you're going there, plus the coastal resort of Essaouira, if you're a Game of THrones fan you'll recognise the ramparts from that show

Have a lush time, enjoy.

Off to Morocco tomorrow with the fam for a bit, so no Zwift for me. There’s a good chance I’ll come back a fair bit lighter, though! 🤣 💩

Nah, food over there is fine. Definitely recommend the Lamb Tagine. Have a great trip.

Morocco is amazing. I agree with both of you though, the lamb tagine is amazing *but* I did also get food poisoning from it.

Back yesterday from an amazing week in Calpe. I went with an organised group headed by Brian Cookson who I went with 2 years ago. We stayed in a lovely hotel (Suitopia) and used the Baguet Service Course as our base - we hired bikes from them and went on their organised rides which had a support van at the one or two stops we made each day.

Most of my group were Masters, with some ex-national champions and top amateurs. The stories over a beer were brilliant.

Weather was great (hit 30C at times) and roads / scenery awesome.

I (sort of) followed the basic outline my Coach had advised which included one full day off the bike. As it turned out, I rode mainly with a group of Belgians from Evergem who were a great crack.

I did 401 miles in the 5 rides and clocked up over 1,400 TSS.

I highly recommend it.

Coincidentally, a new KOM was set on the marque climb of Coll de Rates on the same day that we had a bash at it.

Been following your strava and looked like you had a great time riding. Having a great crack though with similar minded people you have never met beore is priceless.

Yep, 2 of them did The Peace Race back in the day. One raced Greg Lemond and went to his ranch for a mega barbecue. One started up Lusso.

Great team effort there by Coloquik and the guy on point to take that KOM (he did the final 3 minutes on the front and the other 2 boys couldn’t hold his wheel), but I’d dare say that if we could get the Splitters lined out together we could take another 10 seconds off the record. 🤔

Remember that if you haven't filled out the survey about what dates and times you might be available for a Tour de Splitters ride series, you have until Sunday afternoon to complete it (I can't honestly remember exactly when I set the closure time to!).
So the results are in and it looks (unsurprisingly) that the most popular time is Tuesday at around 18:00. Probably too late to get anything arranged for this Tuesday, but will look to do something from next week onwards.

Picking courses randomly worked really well last time (there's a guarantee that it won't this time!) so I'm going to try and do the same again this time. The next six people to post on here, add in a number between 1 and 168 at the end of your post and we'll see what we end up with - if we end up with some that are very similar to each other, then I might pick one that's different, but hopefully not.

Pete, is that near west Sheffield? I noticed its just a little way from Loxley (outskirt Sheffield), sister in law lives there.

Me and the Mrs Saturday made our first cycled restaurant outing 24miles round trip. Cold, windy on the way out, there was a downpour and remnants of the rain as we left the restaurant. Got slightly wet which made me feel particularly cold in the strong but thankfully tailwind.
