Paul, are you going to be racing more in Zwift and less Bkool, then a decent trainer?. If you're planning lots of tours, then a new bike computer. Youve pretty much decided that alfresco, no data riding is your thing, so no power meter.

You make it sound so simple Andy! Thanks for your input everyone....

My Neo definitely reads lower watts than my powertap hub meter, but I've got so used to cycling with watts as a measurement that its a must these days. Which causes me a small issue as my new bike has disc wheels so I cant use my powertap wheels...

Outside looking in, more subjective. Narrowing down the option, wheat from chaff la da la
Yeah, but problem is in answer to your questions:

- are you going to be racing more in Zwift and less Bkool - no not necessarily - probably a bit of both as now. Would still like a better trainer at some point though

- If you're planning lots of tours - no, not really planning lots of tours. Would still like to upgrade my computer though!

- Youve pretty much decided that alfresco, no data riding is your thing, so no power meter - true and logical. I'm still Power Meter curious though!

End result is I'll probably do nothing through indecisiveness until something breaks!

I’d recommend anyone to get a powermeter. They are bloody expensive to be fair. But relative to other pricey gear like carbon wheels or electronic shifting they offer much more benefit.

More efficient drivetrain on the road bike vs the bike you use on the turbo?

It seems everyone is avoiding the computer discussion. Has everybody decided the Bolt is it?

I have the big brother Elemnt. It's so much easier to use than Garmin. First obvious win, it comes with world maps, no downloading regions. It's not a major problem for most we don't travel outside our region. The nicest features are so simple to use and the way it plugs in to other platforms like strava.

Edit .I've already got all the routes for my Tenerife trip just by downloading Strava friends rides onto my phone, it then just created routes in Elemnt app automatically

That's exacly what I needed to know. The reviews for the Garmin touring are brutal and would need to buy the UK map chip. Thanks.
