I've got sidi's mtb shoes and I have wide feet and found them to be extremely comfortable, used them last year in the Pyrenees over £200 though but worth it
Cool - thanks PaulCarl, it is indeed about 10 minutes from where you spawn on the "Road to Sky" route until you get the the actual Alpe, BUT this is all part of the segment we're using which itself starts at the Road to Sky spawn location. So it's full gas from the very start, ride for 34km. See my ride here (which is exactly what we'll do on Thursday), and compare with the segment I said we're using - the ride and segment start at the same place, no lead in https://www.strava.com/activities/2240336274
My sworks shoes are really good, the boa dials are brilliant. I've got fairly slim feet so they might not be great for wide feet.I'm after some new road shoes but don't really know where to start. Any recommendations? N.B. I have a reasonably wide foot so want to avoid anything that comes up really narrow....
Thanks - any suggestions appreciated
Shimano do wide fit in several of their road and mtb shoes. I also have stupidly large (almost sideshow bob 48/49/50) feet. Few companies do large and wide shoes.I'm after some new road shoes but don't really know where to start. Any recommendations? N.B. Some nice riding out thereOh no. This IRW malarky could get addictive
28.5 miles, 1750 ft climbing, 2hr 25m.
I did part of the Pilgrims Way from Titsey Hill (crap road surface on the way down) to Sundridge Hill (nasty hill) up to Knockholt. A little too cold for me at the moment even with a jersey, gillet and a jacket over the top. I need a few more degrees C than what I was riding in. Going down some of the hills was freezing.
That's why I like the CubeSome nice riding out thereA few steep ramps too, if you take the wrong turning

I haven’t descended Titsey Hill for a couple of years but last time the surface was very rough. Got to the bottom shaken to bits!Oh no. This IRW malarky could get addictive

That would be @Del CSaw my first CycleChat rider on Zwift today. He overtook me and my K9 chase everything reflex kicked in! View attachment 459365
Too kind @CXRAndy but had you done the TT last week I know you'd have beat meYou're safe Carl
Thoroughly well deserved result given all your hard work and weight loss![]()
That's the one I intended to go up. However I was enjoying the pilgrims way so much I shot past the hill and kept riding. It was only when I hit the t junction at sundridge hill that I realised my error.I haven’t descended Titsey Hill for a couple of years but last time the surface was very rough. Pilgrims Way is a beautiful ride and its got some nasty climbs up the North Downs along the way. The climb up from Brasted is a pig. The Cube would be welcome there!
